Simply speaking, earning Honor Points, which you will use afterward to get better Gear , is the same as in Classic WoW. Your participation in killing, both in the PvP world as well as in battlegrounds is what counts here. So, killing your enemies, assisting your allies, doing basically anything in order to stand your ground, will ensure you get a lot of Honor Points.
