There are levels of arsenic in all rice products and in rice itself which is why rinsing rice is advised. Arsenic is a natural part of the earth so it exists in some levels in many food products.
This was v helpful, even if not many of the products are available in the UK. So thank you. I used that for over ten years! Kirkland had a long shelf life. I used to order by case, but will now order only a few at a time. I also used the Costco Rice beverage and now they have stopped carrying it.
I have put in a request for them to get it back in stock. Hopefully they get it back, I have stomach issues and their rice beverage seems to be the only one that my stomach will tolerate. It would be nice to see a rice milk with the bare basics. I cannot have coconut oil, safflower oil, or sunflower oil and definitely no carrageenan and all these rice milk products have one or more of those ingredients.
The same with almond milk the other alternative I had been drinking before I found out the listed ingredients were the ones I was to avoid. What happens if you have it? Have you ever tried just the coconut oil by itself to see if that is the cause?
There is only 1 thing I hate in all drink substitutes no matter what. It is not needed. Trying to find a low-potassium alternative calcium source for my kidney-challenged husband. Response anyone? Thank you.
