I'd go with medicham, it's a lot stronger with pure power and gets better coverage options with the elemental punches. Based on just stats, they have the same speed, neither can take physical hits, Gallade can take some special hits though not too many cause it's HP is still trash, Medicham hits way harder. Though you're doing a Fighting mono, so I doubt you're lacking power, so I think you should go with Gallade, for the utility.
Destiny Bond as last resort, Memento to help any set-up you may have from a Bulk Up Toxicroak or Nasty Plot Lucario or something, Trick Room which a Fighting mono could appreciate, Will-o-Wisp if you go back to E12 to breed details in this section's pinned breeding guide. And Leaf Blade could come in handy once or twice a year, s-so that's For example, My Medicham has attack stat at lvl 58 with EV training and my Gallade has attack stat at lvl 58 with EV training. Because of Pure Power, Medicham's attack becomes during the battle.
Medicham has an amazing and I mean amazing natural movepool and as you know with pure power it hits very, very hard. It's available earlier on and it's final form hold less tedium to get so I would say to definitely try using it. Gallade is by no means bad of course, it gets interesting moves like leaf blade and holds respectable, if oddly distributed stats and as you mentioned the means of obtaining Ralts is rather touching.
All in all I would personally say they sit on pretty even ground in game, I'm pretty confident Medicham can take more advantage of field effects and has pure power to make it a powerhouse so it leans just a bit more in my favor Oh and it's shiny is actually really nice compared to Gallade. Best of luck and remember, a rotation would never hurt, even if you like having only one "true" team! I think Medicham will be more useful because of his movepool.
Btw what would be a good set for Lucario? My Lucario is physical sweeper. If you aren't going to do any breeding, that's gonna have to do you for a bit. Something like that. But I still like and voted for Medicham! Life oh my.

Either way, I would probably use either of them in-game, but because of my love for the Ralts line, I'll vote for Gallade. G50 Night Owl. Joined Jan 28, Messages 6, Reaction score Which guy has the better design? Gallade, sword-link arms work well for its Fighting abilities, and the body design looks a lot like its pre-evolved forms.
Which guy is more worth using? I don't use Medicham that much, while I use Gallade more and like its moveset better. In general I like Gallade better as well. Reila Take me away from here Joined Dec 9, Messages 5, Reaction score There is something in Gallade's design that is just plain weird to me. Kirlia is far superior to its evolution s in terms of appearance. Zexy Fire Chicken. Joined Jun 9, Messages 19, Reaction score 6, Well, Gallade is male only and looks like male.
However, I can see why you would use thunderpunch, but that would only make 6 types weak with fire punch and five with ice punch. Ultimatly its up to you, fire prevents you from being walled by Scizor, Bronzgong, and Forreteress I dont know if I got his name spelled right , where as thunderpunch deals with water types like Gyarados and Mantine. I want some advice, and all of my friends won't help me very much at all. They are both the same type but they are very different Pokemon trying to do very different things; they don't really compete for the same role.
Thanks to have a total defense score of like eleven and a decent attack score combined with Pure Power, Medicham is obviously designed to kill Pokemon in one shot or close and die in as many hits. It along with Heracross are probably the two most obvious candidates for Choice Scarf, and using Medicham without that or Choice Band is kind of silly.
It's very dangerous with both, and that's Medicham's game, coming in a few times on predicted switches, hitting hard, and getting right back out. Gallade does it a little differently. While a little weaker than Medicham, it still hits very, very hard, much harder than most people seem to realize, but the main strength with Gallade is that due to the good Special Defense even if the HP is pretty terrible , it can take special hits from a handful of Pokemon, allowing to come in more frequently than Medicham could, allowing to get more hits, even if each hit does less damage.
Gallade obviously also has the ability to inflict pretty much every status effect in the game on the target if it desires, giving it a bit more finesse than Medicham tends to exert. Different game for each of them, both great Pokemon. Obviously, Medicham does more damage with everything else, but I thought that was worth pointing out.
Gallade can also sweep more effectively since he has Swords Dance, whereas Medicham only has Bulk Up. Gallade is the better team player. It can double up as a special tank if that's what your team needs. Medicham on the other hand, doesn't need to set up.
It hits a multitudes of things on the switch, can finish things off with Fake Out or Bullet Punch, and be a Baton Pass recipient it can Baton Pass out. They are both scary when brought out, the former can shut down your team with any two status moves, while the other will break it.
Finally a topic I actually feel like I have enough experience in to add my two cents. As many others before me have already said, they both are trying to do different things. Gallade can set up and status the opponent while still doing a respectable amount of damamge.
It can also swtich in much easier then Medicham since it can take special hits better.
