With close to trades in the entire mainline series of games, it's a feature that certainly isn't going away any time soon. Trades have lots of advantages, such as faster leveling up, but some trades are simply better than others.
This list will have 5 trades worth making with NPCs, and 5 to stay away from. Not only is this an easy trade to make happen, but Manny's Gigalith is a reasonable level 35, meaning it won't take forever to level up and join the team.
The trade most likely represents the Japanese Idiom of a duck with a leek, meaning a sucker who walks naively into his fate. Trading Spearow for Farfetch'd seems like a good idea at first: Farfetch'd is stronger than Spearow, and the player could easily enough think the trade is a good idea. The player then realizes later on that they could have had a strong Fearow, as opposed to a still unevolved Farfetch'd with rather bad stats. This in-game trade, of course! It also holds a bitter berry, ironically sweetening the deal.
In terms of strength, Machamp beats out Cubone in many ways, having greater strength and a great final evolution. Between Level 55 and 70, it can learn a variety of powerful moves, including Leaf Blade and Meteor Assault. Appreciate the help. Aerial Ace? Flying: Still Charizard. Ghost: Gengar. But don't worry -- we've got an explanation for everything read about Farfetch'd's origin at the bottom of this page. Farfetch'd's got good HP and fairly balanced overall stats, but unlike many other Flying Pokemon it can't evolve.
If at least it had a bunch of powerful Flying attacks at its disposal -- but nope. Only the low-level Peck and the ability to learn HM 02's Fly which is admittedly very powerful, but it's of course a two-part move. Most of Farfetch'd's moves are status-altering moves that increase its Defense or Speed.
But let's face it. By the time this Pokemon has used those techniques, your opponent has probably already zapped you right out of the sky. The gist of the story is this: stick with other Flying types if you want to raise a powerful Flying Pokemon. Origin: Farfetch'd obviously gets its name from the word "farfetched" -- but there's actually more to this crazy bird's origin than initially meets the eye.
User Info: StayBouncy. User Info: Crimsonhead4. Thanks, I just looked up farfetch'd and he doesn't even learn any flying moves.
Appreciate the help. User Info: gbchaosmaster. Aerial Ace? All because of one thing: Swords Dance. User Info: Dinoleaf. Pokemon that don't evolve are not automatically weaker then the ones that do. I traded but farfetch'd can't evolve I was referring to this. Just because a pokemon doesn't evolve, doesn't mean it's weak. User Info: uchiharyuuka
